Experience

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with a minor in Music, from the University of Maryland. I have almost 2 years experience teaching 1st-grade children in Memphis, TN and before this I taught students in high school and grades 3 through 5. I am able to tutor a vast array of subjects, but the ones I enjoy the most are History, Reading, and Writing. Some other subjects I tutor, include Phonics, Geography, Grammar and Mechanics, ESL and ELL, AP classes, Study Skills and Organization, Art, Math, English, General Biology, and Essay Editing. I believe in making connections with each individual and develop a relationship more than just teaching the subjects they are struggling in. I make the learning experience productive and fun. When I am not teaching, I like to jog with my dog, Leela, cooking, and playing video games. I currently reside in Crofton, MD.
